Family is important to all of us. I take great pride in my own.
My son is a graduate from both the College of Southern Maryland and the University of Maryland, College Park He is also an Eagle Scout.
My daughter is a graduate from both Prince Gearge's Community College and the University of Maryland, College Park.
I am proud of them both.
We attend church at Calvary Gospel, in Waldorf where my mother is a Sunday school teacher. My father, William Grant Easter, passed away in October 2002. He was a wonderful father and role model for our family. Dad was a proud, life long member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 26. He installed the electrical wiring system in our church. He and my mother are founding members of the Cornerstones, a seniors group at our church. Their actions in the church community always had a positive influence on our family and friends.
I believe a solid family unit provides the foundation for individuals to be successful. I think families need to be protected. That is why I will work to keep people in their homes and to increase job opportunities.
